A POSSIBLE PRACTICE: Closing Reception

March 10, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Gather one last time with us to celebrate A POSSIBLE PRACTICE in Farmington with tunes, tea, and A CLEARING co-directors Alana Dao and meg willing.

In our short stay at 229 Broadway, we’ve filled this space with typewriter poems, banjo songs, onion weighing talents, illustrations, acapella Neko Case, pen pal letters, David Byrne impersonations, disco dancing, family photos, long hugs…

This is one last chance to be together in Farmington!

A POSSIBLE PRACTICE is a continuous creative project, so follow us on Instagram @aclearing.maine and sign up for our newsletter at aclearing.org for updates. Want to create alongside us? Use the hashtag #apossiblepractice to join the conversation. This spring, we’re featuring seven artists / writers who will create work inspired by this year’s theme, the poem “Etymology of Butch” by Kristin Chang. Portland will be our next stop for events, with a reading / art exhibition (hopefully featuring Franny Choi!) at The Apohadion and a First Friday Art Walk exhibition (hopefully with a themed musical set!) at Flask. This fall, keep your eyes out for A POSSIBLE PRACTICE: VOLUME I—the book! A catalog of this year’s art making and collective creative experiences across Maine.
